Leaning Technologies is seeking a talented Software Engineer for a paid internship based in our UK office at Nexus, on the University of Leeds campus. This is a flexible, part time role, designed to be ideal for students. The internship lasts from June to September (flexible), and interns often go on to join the company for longer periods of time.
WHAT WE DO
REQUIREMENTS
Undergraduate or postgraduate student studying Digital Media, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related discipline with equivalent experience.
Self-taught candidates also considered.
Excellent communication skills
Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
You have contributed to, or continue to maintain, open source software
Interest in modern, accessible web design and/or UX design
ROLE
You will be working on some of our company and product websites, documentation websites, developer hub and demos. You will also develop and integrate reusable UI components and templates using Astro, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and/or TypeScript.
You will assist with setting up telemetry, analytics, integrations, and DevOps.

Any experience in creating social media content, especially if it is to a developer audience
WHAT WE OFFER
Hybrid - based in our Leeds office, but work from anywhere if you need to (in-office at least 1 day per week, most weeks)
Salary of £13.50 per hour
At least 16 hours per week (e.g. 2 days 9-5) with ability to adjust around your schedule, possibly up to full time, depending on requirements.
Ability to study from our office on the University of Leeds campus (Nexus building)
Travel to our Amsterdam office at least once per year
